How can we help you?
Our typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm (although hours may vary from time to time).
We try to have all weekends, holidays, and special family occasions off.
During your project, we will primarily use email and a web-based project management program to communicate and share files. This helps us keep everything organised and in one place. We do our best to reply to all communication regarding active projects within 24 hours (during our office hours).
If you need to chat via phone, over Google Hangout/Skype or have an in-person meeting, you can schedule an appointment. Scheduling calls keep our work from being interrupted and allows us to focus on your project!
Yes, we have a contract that will be provided to you and must be signed before any projects can be started.
1. Design Process
The planning stage is arguably the most important, because what’s decided and mapped here sets the stage for the entire project. This is also the stage that requires client interaction and the accompanying attention to detail.
2. Design Credit
Each website will include a small credit to Georgia Mitchell, this design credit must remain in the footer!
3. Cost of a Website
The cost of a website can vary depending on things such as how big the website is (number of pages) and the features and functionality included on the site. Delays due to failure on your part to provide content or feedback may result in a “holding fee” for each week the project extends past the timeline. If you have a tight deadline, a “rush fee” may be charged to complete the project on time.
4. Project Turnaround
It takes 2 – 10 weeks from start to finish. At our first consultation, we will organise a state date. You will need to complete the homework I require from you before this date.
5. Materials & Deadlines
You must supply all materials and information required by us to complete the work by an agreed specification. Such materials may include but are not limited to, photographs, written copy, logos and other printed material. Where there is any delay in supplying these materials to us which leads to a delay in the completion of work, we have the right to extend any previously agreed deadlines by a reasonable amount.
6. Proofing and Revisions
We have built two revisions into all of our design packages. Our goal is to have quality communication with you along the way. So, with any revision, we are closer to the perfect design. If a project does take more than two revisions there will be an additional charge for each revision (at our discretion) on your final invoice. We will also allow edits to your website for up to 24 hours beyond the completion date. Beyond this period of time, there will be an hourly service fee for us to go in and change things.
7. Start Date
To be fair to you, and every other client in the design calendar, we stick firmly to our design schedule. All ocliur ents would be upset if we pushed back their design date because a client earlier in the schedule wasn’t ready.
If you’re worried you won’t be able to meet the content deadlines, send us an email (email@example.com) and we’ll let you know the next available date in our design calendar.
Please note, 6 business days or later after booking, there are financial repercussions to changing your design date. Your 50% deposit holds your place in the design calendar, and that spot is no longer available to be booked by anyone else. If you change your design date within 5 business days of booking, your deposit will be used to hold your new date in the design calendar. If you change your design date 6 business days or later after booking, your deposit cannot be used towards another design date and will not be refunded. If you cancel the project before your design date or during development your deposit will not be refunded.
8. Scope, Price & Delays
Any projects, services and rates supplied are limited to what is specifically outlined in the proposal and based on a set number of hours. Any additional services will require an agreed quote on extra hours. We reserve the right to adjust our hourly rates at any time.
Changes and additions outside the scope of the proposal are quoted and invoiced. You will be advised on all costs, changes and additions before the commencement of the additional work. Expenses are itemised on each invoice.
Any time frames or estimates that we give are contingent upon your full co-operation. During development, there is a certain amount of feedback required to progress to subsequent phases. It is necessary that a single point of contact be appointed from your side and be made available on a daily basis to expedite the feedback process.
9. Responsive Design
Your website is designed to be responsive across all devices and browsers! One website that works well on a wide variety of screen sizes, from smartphones and tablets through to small and large desktop monitors, to fit the needs of your visitors.
10. Website Updates
Yes you can make changes and add content! After your website has gone live you will provided with training and video tutorials. If you ever need any help, please don’t be afraid to reach out and let us know. We offer website maintenance if you choose for us to take care of your site.
11. Payment Schedule
We bill 50/30/20, payments within seven days.
50% deposit upon contract acceptance.
30% functionality and design completed
20% site tested and everyone agrees it ready to go live
Any payments not received within seven days will halt work until the payment is received. If payment is late twice during the project, we retain the right to ask for prepayment of hours or to end the project, whichever is deemed more fitting for the situation.
Unless alternate arrangements have been agreed upon, unpaid balances are subject to collection. In the event of collection, you will be liable for all costs of collection including attorney’s fees, court costs, and collection agency fees.
Sometimes things don’t go the way we expect them to, If at some point, either of us decides our working relationship is failing, then we can submit the desire to part ways in writing.
Please keep in mind that the deposit will be forfeited. In the event this amount is not sufficient to cover Georgia Mitchell for time and expenses already invested in the project, additional payment will be due. If additional payment is due, this will be billed to the Client within fourteen (14) days of notification in writing to stop work.
Once the payment has been made for the work completed, we will send you all the files that have been completed so far, so that you can continue to build on your website without having to start from scratch again.
13. Additional Expenses
You agree to indemnify and reimburse Georgia Mitchell for any critical requested costs and expenses necessary for the completion of the project.
Examples would be:
- Purchase of specific fonts at the Client’s request.
- Purchase of specific photography at the Client’s request.
- Purchase of specific software at the Client’s request.
Our goal is to make sure that you are 100% in love with your final project! We will do everything that we possibly can to make sure that you are happy. However, due to the nature of design work no refunds will be issued, no matter the point in the design process, including deposits paid for future scheduled work.
